Something that bothers me is that Anakin is given a Padawan which would make him a Jedi Master, but in Revenge of the Sith, he's not a Jedi Master.

Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in stars and their stardom that we tend to forget that they can be regular people just like us. Does it surprise me that people like Kobe or Method Man or Rosario Dawson would be comic book fans? No. I have said before that those who make fun of fanboys and geeks would be surprised to learn how many there really are.

The style doesn't bother me. But I understand what you mean about the graphic-bloody nature. Of course, at some point someone is going to use the words barbaric, africans, and black panther in the same sentence.

This is suppose to be a Black comic, not Manga. So, getting some Japanese animators would not be that cool. They are still working on it, aren't they, so give 'em a break! My only concern is that it seems pretty graphic-bloody and all, but most Marvel comics are pretty violent anyway.

I would say if anyone was to blame it would be Reginald Hudlin. He knows the character and he's been the big wig at BET long enough where he should be able to give the character better treatment than what you think he's been given.

T'Challa deserves better than what this promises to be. The first modern black superhero gets his own show on a black network .. .Oh wait a second . . .BET isn't a network. It's the commodity that Bob Johnson sold so that he could, surprise surprise, be another black man obsessed with basketball. It's also the place where they replaced the BET Nightly News with "Cousin Jeff," which was disgracedful and subsequently canceled as well. So what we are left with is 24hrs of booty shakin, bling bling, College Hill and Hell Date. That is when they are not airing poorly produced award shows. Are we really surprised that this collection of sycophants can't get The Black Panther right? It would have been more suprising if they HAD done a credible job. Shame on Marvel for trying to score political points by turning a beloved and historic character over to these morons.

Growing up, this was one of my favorite books. I had more Cloak and Dagger comics than anything else in my collection. I had issues 1 thru 11 plus a few of the Strange Tales they appeard in. Good to see them team up again.

I never understood why they made this movie in the first place. I never thought the concept translated to the big screen. Its series long story arc was the only thing that made it interesting. You can't compress that kind of story into a film

I saw it this past weekend and it was ok. It seemd like the movie couldn't decide if wanted to a superhero film, a comedy or a bad episode of the twilight zone. I disaree with you Charlize she was just eye candy. Overall it wasn't a bad film it just seems like they couldn't pull it together to make a great film

Instead of Jinx from DIE ANOTHER DAY, the Fox comic book character more likely gets her killer looks and amoral temperament from Halle Berry's performance as Ginger Knowles in the film SWORDFISH.

BET animation has been in existence for almost 3 years now has spent millions and has produced not even a single animated short (read a book was before BET animation officially launched...and sucked). Where is hannibal? I saw a roughcut trailer for it (huh?) at a comiccon and that's it. What I saw looked terribly generic uninspired and pretty forgettable to.
Black Panther. Dreadful idea. I thought the point was to make product where we define ourselves. I love Kirby but he wasn't a black man (he was damn cool though). Reggie has to get some guts and make his own character. This is all moot because I guarantee you this...Black Panther will never be made. BET animation is simply too clueless to finish anything

My point was that he is saying the same things that "fanboys" are saying about the films. How are you making the distinction between what a genuine response vs pandering. To me someone whose pandering would say how much they loved the films and leave it at that.
