I think it two issues we have to have writers that want to write black characters and publishers who want to publish them.

Re: DC Screws McDuffie and Buries Milestone

Well, well, well....Did anyone think that this would turn out any differently. Corporate USA rears its ugly head once again. Name one mainstream ongoing black comic book character title????? Black characters in comic books are only as cool as the "fanboy" thinks he is. Did you say, "what about Black Panther?" Black Panther is a sandbox, where they send young upcoming artists, inkers and pencilers to see what they can do. Don't be surprised if the Black Panther "experiment" doesn't make it 2 more years. How many times has it died only to be brought back again? How many relaunches? How many times has Black Panther been "loaned" to Fantastic Four writers? Sure, the Milestone characters were on the sidelines, but DC seemed sooo excited about bringing the characters in their universe. Now we see exactly how excited they were.

Re: Brad Pitt to the Rescue as Moriarty

WB denies this. Hardcore fans tend to to get caught up in comparisons to the books, it happened with Watchmen and Lord of the Rings. Lets be honest if you included everything in the books 2.5 hour movies would end up being 4 hours long which is entirley to long for a film. When you move from one medium to another you have to make adjustments. I'm glad to see you can make the a distinction

Re: Twilight

Great post you got here...By the way, I was wondering if this is true..I found a site where you can download a leaked New Moon Movie..Can you verify it...Here is the link..http://ihategossips.blogspot.com/2009/07/free-new-moon-2009-movie-leak.htm

Re: DC Comics survey from 1970 – “How interested are you in reading about Black people”

Did they ever publish the results?

Re: Tyrese Gibson on Mayhem

thanks for the info

Re: What ever happen to Taimak from the “Last Dragon”?

This is a great post.

Re: Top 5 Old School Underroos

Ewww. You just can't shut it on and off. I would have preferred a Sentinel instead of Mimic/Deadpool.

Re: Weekend Box Office 5/1 - 5/3: Wolverine makes 87 million, Star Trek WBO Prediciton

I think the number of screen matters more on opening weekend than subsequent weekends. A sold out theater will push people to different films. I think Wolverine will still be in over 3000 screens this weekend. I think a 75 to 85 drop is extreme if that where true it would only make between 17 and 21 million. Watchmen made 17 million it second weekend and it was nowhere near Wolverines opening weekend.

Re: Quick Review: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The Power plant was shut down, in regards to the bullet I'm not clear did it penetrate the skull or dent it it. The force of the impact would have basically liquefied his brain achieving the same result. I would have preferred a Sentinel as the villain at the end.

Re: Weekend Box Office 5/1 - 5/3: Wolverine makes 87 million, Star Trek WBO Prediciton

First, that's an awful lot of screens that it played on.
