Why because its not a theatrical trailer. Its footage from a cell phone. Thats like saying a bootleg taken with a camcorder is the same as watching it in the theater. I think they showed footage to get press coverage at the con. Eventually they will release a trailer and everybody will start talking again.

Trailers are advertising period. Its designed to get people interested who may or not know about the film. Its a commercial period

In regards to money the only interest studios have is money. The determination of which film they attach a trailer is attached to is similar to the they way an advertiser determines which televison show they want their commercials. They want to get as much exposure as possible from their film.

Re: Iron Man exclusive Comic con Clip Removed

I totally agree with Anthony. And partially agree with Lobo. I think it has more to do with money than anything else. The quality wasn't that bad. And it's not peaking too early. I think this isn't going to affect anyone when it comes to who's going to see the movie, if anything it raises more interest, which is what I think Anthony was trying to say.

Having the thing pulled down brings more attention to it than anything. They want to control marketing, release the footage on the official site, other wise, don't show it at conventions.

Re: Iron Man exclusive Comic con Clip Removed

Although I enjoyed the trailer but I can understand why they took it down. A the quality was bad. B I think there is such a thing as peaking to early. I think they just want to have more control over the marketing of the film. I mean its still almost a year away. I have to disagree with you a little bit over the Star Wars trailer, I know plenty of people who paid to see just the trailer. Everybody who did that was going to see the movie no matter what the trailer looked like. Most studios release the trailer on the net within a day or two of the theatrical release anyway. I think the problem with the Iron Man trailer was timing and quality. (Although I wish i could watch it again )

Re: Iron Man exclusive Comic con Clip Removed

Holy @#**#$# thats what im talking about.
